Banavu LLC ("Banavu LLC," "we," "our," or "us") operates the Kids Activities mobile application and the website at events.banavu.com (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Services. By using the App or website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We do not collect

Information necessary to provide you with a personalized and useful experience. This includes:

• Child profile information — your child's age range and nickname, entered by you during onboarding. We do not collect the child's full name or date of birth.
• Location preferences — the city or neighborhood you select to discover nearby activities. We do not collect your precise GPS location.
• Favorited events — events you save are stored locally on your device
• Push notification token — a device-specific token provided by Apple that allows us to send you notifications about upcoming favorited events. This token is stored securely in our backend and is not used for advertising.
• Waitlist email address — if you join the waitlist via our website, we collect the email address you provide.
• Analytics events — anonymized usage data (such as which filters you use, which screens you visit, or which event pages you open on our website) collected via Firebase Analytics to help us improve our Services. This data is not linked to your identity.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve the Kids Activities App and website:

• To show you events relevant to your child's age and your selected city.
• To send push notifications about upcoming events you have favorited, based on your notification preferences.
• To remember your preferences across sessions locally on the device so you don't have to reconfigure the App on every launch.
• To understand how users interact with our Services in aggregate so we can improve the experience.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating our Services.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. We use the following service providers solely to operate our Services:

• Google Firebase — cloud database (Firestore), authentication, analytics, and push notification delivery. Firebase processes data in accordance with Google's privacy policies.
• Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — used to deliver push notifications to your device.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Children's Privacy

The Kids Activities App is designed for use by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information. The child profile information entered in the App (age range and nickname) is provided by the parent or guardian and is used only to filter age-appropriate events.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information without consent, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your app data exists on your device or our backend. Push notification tokens are removed from our servers when they become invalid (e.g. when you uninstall the App or revoke notification permissions). You may request deletion of any data associated with your device by contacting us.

Your Rights

You may exercise the following rights at any time by contacting us:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold associated with your device.
• Deletion — request that we delete your data from our servers.
• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate information.
• Opt-out of notifications — disable push notifications at any time through your device's iOS Settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
